Unity
with
God "What
joy we experience when
we have gained even a
small understanding of
what it means to 'live,
and move, and have our
being' in God! For God,
divine Mind, being All,
He does fill all space,
and He is the only
Life."
"Come
and
dine" "A
weary world, struggling
with want, sorrow, debt,
and doubt, has but to
turn from the Adam-dream
to the Christ, Truth, to
have its needs lovingly
supplied and to hear the
same ever ready
invitation to all who
are hungering and
striving in vain for
relief through material
means."
God
Satisfies the
Desires "'The
river of His pleasures
is a tributary of divine
Love, whose living
waters have their source
in God, and flow into
everlasting Life. We
drink of this river when
all human desires are
quenched, satisfied with
what is pleasing to the
divine
Mind.'"
Science
and the
Senses "Nothing
appears to the physical
senses but their own
subjective state of
thought. The senses join
issue with error, and
pity what has no right
either to be pitied or
to exist, and what does
not exist in
Science."
False
Appetites
Healed "I
took to the use of
liquor and tobacco,
sometimes indulging to
such extremes that a
doctor would be called
to attend me, and were I
to go into the details
of my sufferings and
those brought to my
beloved ones, the loss
of their affection for
me, as well as my
experiences in search of
relief, it would require
many pages."

"Neither
the Old nor the New
Testament furnishes
reasons or examples for
the destruction of the
human body, but for its
restoration to life and
health as the scientific
proof of 'God with us.'
The power and
prerogative of Truth are
to destroy all disease
and to raise the dead
even the
self-same Lazarus. The
spiritual body,
the incorporeal idea,
came with the
ascension."

"The
Bible
prophesies
two
appearings
of the
Christ
in the
flesh.
Christendom
has
waited
2,000
years
since
the
first
appearing
for
the
return
of
Christ
as
a
man;
however,
Christ Jesus
himself
revealed to St.
John in
Revelation 12
that the second
appearing would
come as a
woman. The
recognition and
acknow-ledgment
of these two
individuals is
essential to
the salvation
of mankind in
'these latter
days.'"
In
Volume 3 we
read, "Time is
the greatest
enemy. If we
keep on
believing that
time is a
factor in our
lives we will
continue to be
bound and
limited.
.
. . Jesus said, 'And as
ye go, preach, saying,
The kingdom of heaven is
at hand.' (Matt. 10:7)
So, the manifestation of
Mind is right here and
NOW. Eternity is right
here. There is no past
or future. Jesus'
healing work was
instantaneous because he
was proving eternity,
and the unreality of
time and its so-called
substance. The Bible
says, 'That which had
been is now; and that
which is to be hath
already been; and God
requireth that which is
past.' (Eccl. 3:15) All
that exists or ever has
existed, exists right
now. Whatever the past
holds of evil is only
the dream of error. So,
there is no past. We
must never look back
upon evil. 'Remember
Lot's wife.' (Luke
17:32)"
"Mrs.
Eddy's
dominance has
also been
resented. She
has been
mis-interpreted,
maligned, and
persecuted.
Volumes
have been written
against her. Her power
as an executive, her
administrative ability,
and her gift of
organization were as
wonderful as the faith
she founded. Yet that
she built her structure
on broad, sound,
permanent administrative
principles, instead of
founding a house of
cards on shifting sands,
has been the cause of
most of the attacks
personal to
her."

"The
divine demand, 'Be ye
therefore perfect,' is
scientific, and the
human footsteps leading
to perfection are
indispensable.
Individuals are
consistent who, watching
and praying, can 'run,
and not be weary; . . .
walk, and not faint,'
who gain good rapidly
and hold their position,
or attain slowly and
yield not to
discouragement. God
requires perfection, but
not until the battle
between Spirit and flesh
is fought and the
victory won. To stop
eating, drinking, or
being clothed materially
before the spiritual
facts of existence are
gained step by step, is
not legitimate. When we
wait patiently on God
and seek Truth
righteously, He directs
our path. Imperfect
mortals grasp the
ultimate of spiritual
perfection slowly; but
to begin aright
and to continue the
strife of demonstrating
the great problem of
being, is doing
much."
